An affordable race engine

Your drone is equipped with brushless motors. This type of motor is perfect for racers because, in addition to being less noisy than the conventional engines, it has a very interesting weight/power ratio. These engines also have a long service life and reduced battery usage.

The R-Speed is designed for racing. It was made from both sturdy and lightweight materials. It is a light weight thanks to its carbon fiber body. This is an advantage that you will undoubtedly enjoy once launched in the race!

A cool look for a racer drone

The R-Speed proudly scores PNJ’s colors. Its looks quite a bit different from other racers as it is completed by a super bright red chassis.

This chassis has been designed in light material to ensure that it does not burden your drone and that it does not interfere with its performance in flight. Beyond the aesthetic, this shell also represents an additional protection for your drone and allows to insert the camera in the body of the drone. Therefore the components of your racer are well protected against the shocks and falls that could happen during your first flights.

The R-Speed is a quadrocopter, it consists of 4 arms equipped with propellers that guarantee its stability while flying. Each arm is completed with an LED, below the motor supports. These will inform you about the condition of your drone. This will give you easy access to practical information even from the ground. For example, you will know easily if your drone is waiting for pairing or if the battery level starts running low.

More batteries for more flight autonomy

Your drone is equipped with a 3-cell 2000mAh battery providing it with an autonomy of flight of about 7 minutes. To extend your flight sessions, you have the option to buy several batteries and rotate. The battery of your R-Speed is easily accessible, in a compartment located in the body of the racer. Faster than a pit stop, replacing the discharged battery with a new one will not take you more than a few seconds. Simply unplug the connector between the battery and the drone. Then slide the battery out of its compartment and replace it with your other battery. All you have to do now is readjust the safety strap to make sure the battery stays in place and reconnect the connector. You are already ready to take off again!

Controls and immersive virtual reality

What makes all the fun of racer drone is the complete immersion flight experience that allows you to make the most of the sensations of flight. For this, your R-Speed is equipped with a 5.8GHz wide angle camera that will allow you to enjoy a live 720p image stream. Simply connect your drone to a virtual reality helmet (not included in this starter pack) and experience an immersive flight experience as if you were in the cockpit. You can also manually change the orientation of your camera by about 30 ° on a vertical axis in order to get exactly the angle you wish.

At the top of your R-Speed, screwed on the camera, you’ll find the omnidirectional antenna of your drone. This mushroom-shaped feature, well known by the racer drones lovers, is there to increase the range of your video return.

The drone is also supplied with a radio-control transmitting on a wifi frequency of 2.4GHz. This allows you to keep control of your drone on a range up to 200m.
